OVERVIEW

In collaboration with the Executive Pastor and the Mission Church Treasurer, this position is designed to ensure the integrity of Mission Church’s financial matters through proficiency in bookkeeping, effective process-building and solid reporting.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide bookkeeping, data entry, and maintain accounts payable
  • Provide accurate reporting to staff, elders, and donors
  • Provide financial reconciliation and review
  • Assist with human resource administration

SKILLS CRUCIAL TO THIS JOB

  • 12 months of book-keeping experience
  • Background in administration
  • Basic working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic working knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Ability to understand and implement new software as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Good people skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus
  • Strong understanding of the mission of Mission Church
  • Must be a member of Mission Church along with participation in a small group
  • Must adhere to the Mission Church statement of faith and constitution

  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of the church
  • Must be over 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license
