OVERVIEW

The primary focus of this position is to provide oversight and maintain the stability of the church’s organizational management, including the business & ministry management and organizational advancement. This leader will possess proven skills in organizational leadership and project management while exhibiting a shepherding heart and a passion for gospel ministry.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Management
    • Oversees all areas of finance including budgeting, special projects, donor relations, and payroll
    • Ensures contract, tax, insurance, and corporate compliance
    • Oversees all Human Resources tasks, including hiring, policies, reviews, and benefits
Ministry Management
    • Gives oversight and support to the Operations Team (Facility, Events, Security, IT, Housekeeping)
    • Gives oversight to church-wide communications (website, email, social media, etc.)
Organizational Advancement
    • Develops and updates Master Plan to maximize our property for mission impact
    • Liaison for all planning and permit requirements
    • Provides operational support to our church planting initiatives

 

 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5 years of experience in senior management (preferably with nonprofit experience)
    • Strong experience in financial management and Human Resources
    • Proven success working to implement vision utilizing good project management
    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with the preference of a master’s degree
    • Experience managing budgets
    • Exceptional verbal and written skills
    • Experience in ministry organizations preferred
    • Teaching ability is a plus

    • The church as an organization is well-led and well-managed, freeing pastors to focus more on ministry to people than on organizational management
    • Elders have timely, accurate information about operations & finances so they can make effective decisions
    • The various systems and structures of Mission Church are led well, being consistently refined for optimal effectiveness
    • Property is being well-utilized and well-maintained
    • Mission Church budgets well and anticipates future expenses

JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus
    • Strong understanding of the mission of Mission Church
    • Ability to work in the office and Sunday mornings
    • Must be a member of Mission Church or become a member upon employment and participate in a small group
    • Adhere to Mission Church’s Gospel & Discipleship statement
    • Over 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
