SAME Church.

Choosing a new church name to represent who we are and what we are all about is no small feat. After 40 days of prayer and fasting, guidance from Scripture and devotionals from our elders, and offering the entire church body opportunity to speak into the process, we are thrilled to have a new church name filled with purpose, direction, vision, and action. The new name calls us to join Christ in the work that He is doing. It calls us to action, to press forward in heralding the gospel of Christ, to disciple those nearest to us, and to establish and strengthen churches that do the same, all for the glory of God. Mission Church. It's who we are. It's what we are called to do. It's the passion inside us.

Mission Church's logo consists of an icon and wordmark. The icon is an intentional symbol that brings together four diamond-shaped arrows grounded by a center circle. In the negative space of the circle is the shape of an "X" which represents the Chi symbol used by the early church as a visual reference to Christ. The four arrows point inward to Christ, representing those coming into the church to be discipled, and then outward to represent the mission of Christ to all the ends of the earth. A quick look at the mark gives reference to the shape of a cross bringing depth and great meaning, another look shows a compass signaling clarity of direction and purpose, and yet another look gives way to arrows breaking through a circle, representing Christ's Mission not able to be contained inside the walls of a church building. The balance of a contemporary symbol with an ancient flair and a modern typeface serves to create a timeless and intergenerational feel with a rich heritage to the overall logo which aligns with who we are as a church, while also portraying an active church seeking to share and teach Christ locally, regionally, and around the world.

As we teach and train children students, as we write and sing new songs in response to the glory of God, and as we plant and partner with other churches, we desire to gather people for and send people into the mission.

As we study through the final third of the Gospel of Mark, we will come to witness firsthand the passion of Jesus. The gospel will climax with Jesus going to the cross, bursting forth from the grave, and ascending into heaven. The passion will culminate with Him entrusting His disciples, us, with a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
