Children are cared for by loving volunteers who have a heart for young children. Christ’s love is shown through play, singing songs, and reading books with the children while physical needs are met.
Starting in the Runners class, the children will go through the entire Bible twice by the time they finish Kindergarten. A storyteller visits their classes every week to tell them what God’s Word says. They learn to praise God through worship and Scripture memorization. Each child receives a devotional to do at home with their family. Our Kindergarten class joins the 1st-5th Grade every week for their worship time.
Children in 1st-5th Grade are led in worship each week. They love this time of singing and learning what it means to be a true worshiper.
We believe the Word of God should be taught boldly and correctly. Each week, teachers open their Bibles and teach with authority in a manner that children can understand. We believe strongly that children should never be bored with the Bible. We work hard to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Each child participates in a small group. Children experience adult-style small groups in an age-appropriate format. Scripture memorization, prayer, and discussions are included. Children receive devotionals each week.
We use a chronological curriculum which systematically leads children through the Old and New Testament two times from Runners-Kindergarten.
We use a curriculum titled “God Is” to help our children to understand who God is through the stories that He has given us in His Word.
We are committed to the safety, security and well-being of every child. All children are checked into their classes using our computerized check-in system which includes a numbered code that matches parents and children.
We limit the access only to parents and Mission Kids volunteers. Also, all of our volunteers go through a thorough background check process before they are allowed to serve in any children’s area. This includes criminal and sex offender checks.
