Heart work is hard work. Maybe you’ve asked the Lord to work in your heart. Perhaps you’ve asked Him to change, to strengthen, or even to soften your heart. While it can happen instantaneously, often times God’s work in our heart is an ongoing and gradual process. That was certainly the case in the life of Joseph. In his lifetime, Joseph went from favorite to pit to palace to prison and then to a position of power. Through it all, Joseph’s heart was strengthened for the culminating task of freeing and forgiving those who hurt him most. It’s heart work, and God is working on all of our hearts.
